मित्रांनो, नमस्कार!
प्रोजेक्ट प्लँनिंग (Project Planning) म्हणजे खरंतर एक सोपी गोष्ट. हो खरंच सोप्प आहे. तुम्ही अनेकदा वॉटरफ़ॉल मॉडेल (waterfall ), कायझन (kaizen ), अजाईल (agile), इत्यादी शब्द ऐकले असतील. त्यातूनच या सर्व प्रकारचे सर्टिफिकेशन आणि त्यांची क्लिष्टता, त्यासाठीचे मापदंड, मोठाल्या फीज हे ऐकलं असेल किंवा अनुभवलं असेल. हो खरंच हे सर्व अवघड आहे. पण मग मी सोपं का म्हणतोय? कारण शेवटी या सगळ्या मधल्या थिअरीज आपल्याला आपल्याच कामात वापरायच्या आहेत. आपलं काम जर आपल्याला नीट येत असेल म्हणजे आपल्या प्रत्येकाला बरं का. तर आपल्या टीमला जर आपापलं काम नीट येत असेल तर या सर्व थिअरीज एकदम सोप्प्या आहेत. म्हणजे प्रोजेक्ट प्लँनिंग एकदम सोप्प आहे. अजूनही अवघड वाटत आहे?
चला आपण हे मिळून सोप्प करूया. आपण काही आपल्याला उपयुक्त अशा गोष्टी सिरीज मध्ये करणार आहोत. एकदम नाही हं. कारण प्लँनिंग मधल्या अनेक संकल्पना मिळून एक हत्ती आहे. आता खराखुरा हत्ती कोणी अक्खा मुठीत घेऊ शकेल का? नाही ना ? आपणही तसेच या हत्तीच्या कधी सोंडेला स्पर्श करू तर कधी कानाला. असे करत आपण हा संपूर्ण हत्ती जाणून घेणार आहोत. जेवढे जाणून घेऊ तेवढे थोडेच.

Project planning is a simple thing! What? Do you think it's not? It's truly easy. Why am I saying so?
You must have heard about the waterfall model, kaizen, agile, etc. You must have also heard about PMP, Agile, etc project management certifications along with their measurement systems, fees for courses or certifications, credit systems. Or you have experienced it? hmm! then project management or planning is really difficult.
Then why I am saying it's easy? Am.. because all these are theories/practices/processes, we will be using in our work which we are doing regularly. If we know our work exactly ("we" mean the team) then these theories are easy.
Let's make it easy together. We will be doing some useful things in this series...no no not only one.. we will do many things. Why? because many concepts together become a huge elephant. So, can you grab an elephant by your hand? definitely no. We will touch its different body parts one by one.
So let's start...
