I was just watching the short film of Pixar regarding its history. It’s just amazing when five people start an animation company and only one of them is the Artist. This short film emphasises on the dedicated work done by the founders and workers of Pixar during past years since its launch.
An inspiration point to everyone from the short films developed by Pixar in its first few years is that they were not having any QUAD core graphics card based processing devices for their help. They were using small machines which were able to work on textual programming inputs rather than today’s 3D or 2D. They were not assisted with today’s accessories like; Pen tablets, touch screens, motion capture etc.
They completely challenged technology available at that time with their skills and now as technology is developed it challenges the art inside them to produce high quality outputs.
That’s why they say that “Art Challenges the Technology and Technology Challenges the Art”. Its true when we saw Toy Story a complete 3 Dimensional computer generated movie at the early age of Animation industry and now Avatar a mixture of 3D, motion capture and real time shoot.
It was not possible in early 90’s to render high definition images where artist was not satisfied with technology as he was able to develop such HD images but not able to deliver it. That is the time when Art challenged Technology. Then as years passed and now technology is able to deliver the HD images within few seconds but Artist takes time to develop it. Here the Technology challenges the Art.
It has observed everywhere. Nature challenges humans and humans also challenge nature with their developments. Nature has Art to produce and maintain its ecosystem; which always challenges human nature of fighting for life. Then human develop some technology to use this art of nature in evolution; which challenges natures art with the technology.
In the same way Thinking is an Art and writing it with our hands is technology. Right now I am thinking very rapidly but same is not reaching up to my hands and that’s why I am not able to write everything which comes up in my mind. Let’s forget all of it and start the work...
